Don your best bonnet to celebrate the Spring! As Sherwood Forest stirs back to life RSPB Sherwood Forest are celebrating the Easter Bunny’s older, wiser relative – the Easter Hare.

In Robin Hood’s time many people abstained from eggs during Lent. They would break their fast on Easter Sunday, beginning the practice of gifting eggs. In many European traditions these were brought by the Easter Hare, a symbol of fertility and rebirth.

Take part in the RSPB Sherwood Forest’s family friendly Hares and Eggs Easter Trail! Starting at the visitor centre and winding through the forest along the Major Oak Trail.

Standard parking charges apply.
